I brought this PD E from Amazon and Hilti will not warranty it. Less than two years of light duty use before it threw an error code ( 415 ) and stopped working. I contacted Amazon they said contact Hilti for service. Hilti told me they would not warranty it. I had previously been under the impression Hilti built quality products and stood behind them. After being told they would not. I can only warn you to avoid all of Hilti products especially the PD-E.
