The manufacturing of these pens produces a really smooth ink that's unlike a normal ballpoint pen. It just glides over paper and doesn't get stuck like a cheap dry BIC pen. It dries quickly on paper, but not when you leave them open accidentally exposed to air which is amazing. I love the style of clicking and the size and build of the pen is just right for me. The 0.7mm tip writes decently for a ballpoint. The click is satisfying. I've only had a few pens with a side release, such as the Mitsubishi Boxy. It's actually a lot of fun. (BTW, these feel cheaper and lack the unique ergonomic feel of the Boxy but they cost less and write more smoothly.) These pens are pretty minimalist but that's okay. It's part of the charm and they work well for what they are.
