It should be noted that the printing on the letter tiles was redesigned in 2017 to address customer feedback regarding readability. Gold print is no longer used. The print is lighter in color and brighter now, making it much easier to read the letter tiles when viewing them at an angle. If your Scrabble should arrive missing some or all of the letter tiles, just contact your seller and they will put in a parts request with the manufacturer on your behalf. The Deluxe Scrabble box is sturdy and to close the box properly it is necessary to have all of the contents lined up properly. If you don't do this the box is going to break and stuff will be sprung loose. Fortunately, I have enjoyed the aesthetics of the board and its functionality and that encourages me to protect, not just by packing it properly but by insuring that it gets properly stored in the cupboard.
