The suede is soft and supple and the color is a very rich tan - I'm absolutely in love with the style. However, the sizing of this boot is so off that it's actually laughable. I followed other reviewers advice of ordering up, and initially ordered a size 9 en lieu of my usual 8.5 size. When I say that the size 9 fit me like a size 7 shoe, I'm not over-exaggerating. I was like freagin Cinderella and couldn't even get my foot into the shoe bed. I don't have wide feet, high arches or thick calves (I actually have chicken legs) and I've never once had this issue in my life. I held up my Frye size 8.5 boot to the sole of this DV boot and it was a full INCH shorter in length. Massive fail. So I returned the boot with Amazon Prime's amazing return service (love it!!) and cautiously ordered a size 10 figuring the 9.5 would be close to a size 8? The 10 is slightly too large on my feet, (fits probably like a 9-9.5) but with two padded Dr.Scholl's insets and a padded foot bed and thick Carhartt socks, they work all right (and are super squishy and comfy) so I'm going to keep them. It's worth noting that I have two other pair of DV shoes that are 8.5 and they fit me perfectly. If you're thinking of buying these, I'd advise shopping around a bit before committing and add at least one full shoe size to your normal size when ordering if you do decide to go with these. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice boots but narrow shaft *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2014* I just received the taupe colored boots. The boots appear a bit darker in person but still a really nice color. The boots really have no give or stretch in the calves. The left boot fit perfect but the right boot was slightly too tight and I couldn't pull all the way up. I do work out a lot so my right calf is slightly bigger. I measured my calves and my left calf is exactly 15 inches and my right calf is 15.5. So before you order these boots, measure your calves and if they are bigger than 15 inches, they will not work for you. The boot themselves are gorgeous and comfortable. They are striking but still conservative enough to wear to work. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Too Tight Calf *by K*** on Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2015* These boots were great.. minus that the top came up to almost my knee and they were super tight around my calf. I'm 5'3" and I do not by any means have a "widde calf". In fact I would go so far as to say that I have a pretty skinny calf and these boots were still too tight even without anything like tights. Because they were so tight they bunched up and made it super uncomfortable to sit and walk. I had to return them.
