## Description

This saw is highly recommended for beginning users of Japanese Saws. This small Japanese hand saw is used for scoring and cutting panels or veneer. The "Woodpecker" hook tooth at the tip "V" end of the blade is used to scratch line to start the first cut. Metal backbone (Dozuki) helps keep the blade stiff. 7-1/2" Long cane Wrapped wood handle. Used for scoring and cutting panels or veneer. Japanese Mini Dozuki Panel Saw replacement blade (#65581, sold separately).

Review: Remarkably useful, sharp, accurate, and useful little saw. A joy to use. - I’ve been a woodworker for over 50 years, have two of these mini dozuki saws and a couple replacement blades. This saw is remarkably sharp, useful, and versatile. It’s useful for small precision cuts in fine woodworking, or in a pinch, if you don’t have another saw on hand, it will cut a 2 x 4 fairly quickly. There is a hook tooth at the very end of the blade which allows you to begin a cut in the middle of a piece of wood. I’ve recommended this saw to quite a few people and given it as a gift. The photo shows part of the deck of a cedar-strip, fiberglas and epoxy kayak. I used a mini dozuki saw to make every cut at the end of each cedar strip, making a perfect fit.
Review: Love the Z-Saw line and this Dozuki. - I've had other Z-saws for years and finally got around to picking this little one up. It cuts fast, tracks more easily than a western push saw (in my experience), and stays sharp for years of steady use. The blades change out quickly and easily. This saw is not for deep cuts, more for joinery like dovetails and smaller tenons. Now, this is NOT a saw for tree live or green trees limbs of branches - it's for dry wood only. It works fabulously in softwoods, but requires a bit more practice in harder woods. The saw can be used on plywood, but unless you have no other choice, I'd avoid doing so. The teeth are impulse/induction hardened so they are VERY hard and stay sharp for a very long time. HOWEVER, because of that hardness, teeth can be broken off or the blade can be snapped if it twists too much - but if either of those happens you're abusing the saw. I highly recommend the Z-Saws to anyone, especially those who are just starting to saw by hand.

## Features

- A saw for horizontal precision cuts. Recommended for a wide range of jobs from electrical work to DIY.
- Blade Size:150mm // Pitch:1.41mm (Distance between each teeth) // Thickness of blade: 0.30mm // Kerf/ Travel: 0.49mm (thickness of cut line through blade)RPA202320 23Universal saw with Back reinforcement, which limits the cutting depth. For precise and thin cuts and beautiful surfaces.
- With conventional saws, cutting is done by pushing. This requires a relatively high blade strength to ensure sufficient stability. For Japanese saws, the cut is carried out by pulling. The blade can therefore be very thin, as it only experiences pulling force and does not link. This makes the saw stroke finer and the cutting effort significantly less.
- . Known as a pioneer of the Japanese hand saw industry, all saws from the Z-saw brand have a bare blade and an easy to change handle. First company in Japan to introduce hard pulse heater, which is known as one of the great innovations to maximize the hardness of saw teeth.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Japanese Mini Dozuki Panel Saw is a really nice saw.
*by B***O on July 7, 2020*

This is a nice saw! I was able to easily saw this hurricane panel profile with no fixtures, just holding it in my hand, in just a few minutes. The cuts were easy to keep straight with virtually no burr and no binding at the angle I used the saw to cut. I really liked the starter tip that allows to start a cut in the middle of the material your cutting. The saw blade section is nicly wraped in folded paper and slips into a cardboard sleeve that snaps to hold the cover inplace to protect the blade. Very happy with this purchase.
