Review: Yummy - and useful in more places than I originally thought - Tried it for the first time. Cheese, crackers, monkey butter --> Pretty darn good, I may alternate with my usual pepper jelly or honey mustard approach (I like spicy sweet too), but still tastes good and adds a nice fruity contrast and good texture to the end result without interfering with the salty / sharp cheese or the simple crunch of a cracker - and it's much easier and requires less prep than using apple slices or the like. So that's a win. Peanut butter and monkey butter --> not bad. The pineapple and texture gives the sandwich sweetness and a slightly different experience than the usual jelly / jam / preserves... will depend on the kid and their texture reactions probably. That's a good enough / could turn into a preferred way to go - so also a win. Cooking with it? I'm still experimenting. Not bad with chicken stirfry for a bit of sweetness added to a sauce (not sure I wouldn't just say add pineapple straight though - the banana and spread-ability didn't really add anything and personally chunks / bursts of sweetness in my savory dishes are something I like, while this is lost more in the mix.) I was planning a little Ploughman’s Lunch type of spread for my daughter, and I wanted to include something sweet to counteract the traditional British condiments I had ordered for this meal. I will tell you this- by the time she was done eating, the entire bowl of Monkey Butter was LICKED CLEAN, while the other condiment bowls hadn’t even touched! I just wish they sold this in a gallon…or a 5 gallon bucket!!!!

**Q: Do you make different formulations of Monkey Butter at different times of year? I ordered two jars, mine were banana, pineapple, coconut-- not mango.**
A: I personally think it's a typo because it does say pineapple, banana and mango in the title, but down in the manufacturers pictures where they describe Monkey Butter it says banana, pineapple and coconut.

**Q: How long will it last in the refrigerator?**
A: Don’t know.  Mine is already gone.  Experience with fruit butters gives me grounds to guess probably a month before the edges dry out.  I’ve never had it mold.

**Q: What spices are used?**
A: I didn't actually look at that. I will say it's really very good. I've reordered. Maybe check the description?

**Q: is the peach. Product ovenproof?**
A: It's in a glass jar.  I wouldn't put it in an oven, or microwave.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious flavor but

I took away 1 star because I wish it was made just a little thicker. The flavor is absolutely delicious though, it is not thick like jelly or jam, and could actually be poured onto something? not runny, but not thick . I suppose you could spread it onto toast or waffles, or just stir into something like oatmeal. Simple ingredients, and seems to be of good quality. I will probably buy more!
