The spray nozzle points up, which makes it super easy to spray on the ceiling. It does have a pretty wide spray radius, so you need to cover the wall if you're spraying near the ceiling edges. The paint itself is thick enough to cover with one coat, and there is no running or dripping. This matched my ceiling color almost perfectly, so there is no obvious cover up. Just a note, take down your smoke alarm if you're working near it, this did set mine off! It produces a lot of paint mist and the fumes can get overwhelming if you're working on large areas.
