That we get often. It is impossible for a product to remove histamines. Histamines are produced in the body. Histamines in your body react to the sulfites, tannins, or other products in your wine. To say that a histamines are filtered out of a glass of wine is slightly misleading. If your body has a reaction to sulfites it will release the histamines. When the sulfites get filtered out, then your body will not react and produce the histamines. Drop It does not filter out the sulfites. Drop It converts the sulfites to harmless sulfates. Therefore, the body will not release the histamines. The body will not recognize that chemical structure. With 3 drops to a 5oz glass of wine the laboratory showed a reduction of the sulfites to less than 2ppm. It is almost not traceable. The tannins have an open hydrogen bond in which our proteins attach to. This once again will keep your body from producing histamines. Drop It only slightly reduces 4 of the 9 phenolics in the panel tested. The other products on the market will not reduce any of the phenolics. There also may be other phenols or other products an individual may react to which Drop It or other products may not impact. Currently we are only experiencing a less than 1% return rate, because a product did not work for someone. Let us know if you need more clarification. We do believe a well informed customer is our very best customer. We appreciate your interest! **Q: Is it normal to see things floating in your wine glass?** A: Just for some clarification. If your wine is really high in sulfites you may see clear crystal particulates. So yes, that means it is working. You should not feel them on your palate. If your wine it that high in sulfites you may want to try another wine. Price is usually not a factor. If you notice small peppery flakes at the bottom of your glass, that is normal. Those are the tannins precipitating to the bottom of your glass. That is fining in your wine. However, if you notice floating white particles this is an indication of a very tannic wine that is outnumbering our ability to precipitate them to the bottom. Once again, You may want to reconsider the wine selection. Price of your wine is not a factor. Drop It not only reduces both sulfites and tannins, it can actually give you a good idea as to whether or not your wine may be very high in those preservatives. Double Bonus!!! **Q: Does it remove all sulfites or just reduce them?** A: Hi Janice, Thanks for your interest and a really great question. The Laboratory tests indicate that with the addition of one Drop to a 5-6 oz glass of wine the reduction is about 85%. With the addition of 2-3 drops per 5-6 oz the sulfites are not measurable and not traceable and recorded at less than 2 ppm. I hope this answers your question. We will put that into our research and development process to see what we may be able to come up with in the future. Do you have more of a reaction to red or white wine. I may be able to make you a special formula that may not be lab tested but it may work for you.
