**Q: What tipe of material is cap?**
A: It’s plastic, , if you use the military type can you’ll need to remove the seal to get it screw on tight

**Q: Will this fit a Blitz 5 gallon metal can?  The opening is approximately 2.5 inches**
A: It should.  It has 2" pipe threads. The thread size for the hole on a USGI, or Blitz, or MFC, or standard 15 gallon drum, or standard 30 gallon drum, or standard 55 gallon drum is 2" NPT.  2" pipe is designated by the nominal inside deminsions of the pipe which would make the opening diameter of the can a little less than 2.5"

**Q: Will this fit on the old Usmc gas can**
A: I put it on an army surplus Jerry can and it is great. A whole lot less spillage than before.

**Q: Wii this fit a newer Crown Automotive 5.5 gallon Jerry can?**
A: It should fit.
