These things are very durable and almost never leak (sometimes pressure changes like flying in a airplane or temperature changes like being in a sauna can lead to some slight leaks). The main reason I need to purchase them is because I have bad luck with the bite valves falling off of my bottle when I have it in my back pocket or something like that.
