WHAT IS VENETIAN PLASTER: Also known as “stucco Veneziano”, Venetian plaster is a wall and ceiling finish made from magnesium-grade dolomite limestone. It is heated to produce calcium oxide, then aged in water. Finally, the lime is blended with marble and other mineral aggregates. Applied in multiple layers, which are then burnished to create a smooth surface with the illusion of depth and texture. When applied correctly, this type of plaster will create a highly polished and marble-like finish.
THE ITALIAN DIFFERENCE: Many of the so-called Venetian plasters used today are synthetic plasters made by paint manufacturers OR thick paint. They are designed to emulate the look of authentic plasters without any of the benefits. Our plasters, and all their ingredients, are harvested and manufactured in a small region in Northern Italy. This gives you a truly authentic and high-quality product. Our plasters come ready to be applied to your walls in the colors that you choose

Rookie Proof

The FirmoLux Grassello Authentic Venetian Plaster made me look like a pro. After 15 minutes I had perfected my strokes and after the third coat in one room I had figured out how to do different trowel strokes and designs. This product is rookie proof. I started out plastering a focus wall in a bathroom and ended up buying more plaster for an entryway, living room and family room. The product goes on thin. Drys within 4 hours and the cleanup is a breeze.
