It was just as strong as the $5.99 40wt embroidery thread from the quilt shop. The only down side is there is no hook or snap base to stop the thread from unrolling from spool. You’ll need to purchase the thread bands for each spool and they are $13.99 for 40 of them. However, I have an add-on freestanding thread spool with a thread loop that extends 2-3" above the threading area of my machine. This thread, using the freestanding thread holder works great.
