It can hold more than you can imagine will fit in a backpack. It could've even held more clothes, toiletries, books and souvenirs than I had but then I wouldn't have been able to lift it. No one could believe how much I could fit into this bad boy. Plus it endured all sorts of abuse like being thrown and kicked and strapped to the tops of cars, boats and motor bikes and handled all weather from severe heat to monsoons. The attached rain cover is fabulous, never could get lost or ripped. Plus the detachable top bit is amazing. I used this part for my toiletries so when I was off to the bathroom I just had to unclip the top and I was on my way with all my shower stuff. Plus it was great whenever a bottle of shampoo broke open because then I only had to rinse and dry this one part rather than the whole pack. All the straps and clips were great for strapping shoes, towels and whatever else to the bag and the loops on the shoulder straps were great for hanging my small backpack when I had a long way to walk with all my stuff.This pack is ideal for a long backpacking trip across climates. It held everything I needed plus a little extra and was super adjustable to fit my small frame(5'5" 115lbs). The best part is that it's unique so I never mixed up packs with anyone. I didn't see a single other person with it on my whole trip while a friend of mine was constantly confusing her bag with other people's bags.If you're unsure just go for it and get this one! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bag, great service! *by I***T on July 18, 2012* Just got the bag today - not used yet, but the service was incredible, so I`m writing this review. I ordered internationally (to Mexico) shipped by Sporting Goods USA and the shipment was great! The due date was supposed to be btw 25th July-9th Aug, which left me nervous as we`ll leave to Peru on 10th Aug. However, the bag arrived much earlier (18th July)! Big relief!!!Although haven`t used the bag yet, it looks very comfortable - the back and waist padding is thick. I love the side pockets - can organize my stuff; the bellow pockets - really helps to find the clothes you want to use that day! The whole top can be taken off and used as waistbag - it has a mesh compartment inside where you can hold documents, money etc. I was a bit worried about the waistbag, but it is indeed big enough for a daytrip - seems that it`ll hold everything I need: bottle of water (although no specified pocket for it), money, cell phone, tissues, even a book or dictionary.Got the 2012 model (plum/black), not the one on the picture (orange/white) - the plum/black is rather plum/gray, quite solid color, I think it looks great. It has a more advanced adjustment on the back and really thin aluminum(I guess) frames for the lighter weight. It went with me all over the Dominican Republic and Haiti! Absolutely love it! Fit much more than I thought I would. I lived out of it for a month and am about to live out of it for 4 (Texas and Hawaii). I'm pretty short and I was still able to carry this on my back quite comfortably. It is adjustable- which is awesome! Secret zippers and pockets everywhere to fit last minute odds and ends.
