Premium quality and crafted in the Netherlands, each shade is carefully developed using a unique formula and undergoes strict quality control to ensure reliable results for artists of all levels. Color numbers refer to the color and tone, and the decimal identifies how the color is adjusted. The color number followed by a .2 or .3 indicates that the color is mixed with black, .5 is the full shade, and .7 through .12 are tints with white. Made with the purest kaolin and a high pigment concentration, these color pastels deliver outstanding smooth color transfer, and clean, low-dust, non-crumbling application ideal for detailed work and advanced color blending techniques. These pure soft pastels offer remarkable high lightfastness, helping artwork maintain its brilliance over time. These cobalt-free pigments provide rich, intense color pastels suitable for layered compositions and refined pastel layering effects. Housed in a sturdy cardboard portable storage box, this collection offers organized protection whether in the studio or on the move. Bring your creativity to life with Royal Talens! Review: Happy with this purchase - These pastels are nice quality. They shipped fast and arrived a day earlier than expected. They were packaged nicely and none were broken. I am pleased with the product and the seller. Review: 1/2 sticks, larger than I thought, packed well, no breaks. Consider these "artist grade",my first choice and for 90% artists who. - I noticed the difference immediately and these are not even the best, such as Sennelier, Holbein and others that cost $300 to $1,100 and up for a full assortment. These 1/2 sticks are actually larger than I thought they would be, packed well and not one came broken. I would consider these a medium level "artist grade" pastel, with smooth consistent coverage and colours true to the colour, the brightness and quality of colour. I would reccomend these even to the professional artist who wants a quality pastel without the huge price tag, but they are not the top graded brands by any means. These would work for 95% of the people who paint/draw with pastels, the true artist would always have a collection of different brands and as many colours as they could afford. This is going to be my go to for many year and as a base for all my work. I will buy some of the best pastels out these, but only a stick or two at a time to decide if for what I do they are worth it. If I change my mind about these I will update the review. The best are Sennelier, UNISON and Schmincke, but they are 5 times more expensive and unless an artist who sells your work for a lot of money stick with Rembrandt. Paper also makes a difference, as does what you want to draw. If on velour then you need a harder pastel, no softer than Sennelier, and pastel pencils which I would recommend Derwent and Othello. If I get to use some of the top pastels I will review them when I use them. ## Features - Professional Soft Pastels: Rembrandt Soft Pastels are half stick soft pastels with high pigment concentration and excellent lightfastness; includes 100.5, 201.5, 205.8, 227.5, 236.5, 372.5, 409.5, 411.5, 506.5, 548.5, 570.7, 620.7, 627.5, 633.5, and 700.5. - Pure Soft Pastels: These pastels feature a unique formula with kaolin for consistent performance and superior smooth color transfer. - Vibrant Pastels: Experience the superior quality of these vibrant, intense color pastels designed for seamless color blending and expressive pastel layering. - High Lightfastness: Crafted as a professional-grade fine art medium with cobalt-free pigments that deliver lasting brilliance with a consistent laydown. - Empower Your Creativity: Royal Talens has been helping you find your creativity and providing you with high-quality tools to fuel it since 1899. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0010YTNOE | | Additional Features | Non-Toxic | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #114,469 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #181 in Drawing Pastels | | Body Shape | Round | | Brand | Rembrandt | | Brand Name | Rembrandt | | Closure Type | Snap | | Color | Multicolor | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 306 Reviews | | Drill Point | Chisel | | Global Trade Identification Number | 08712079257507 | | Grip Type | Smooth | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Hardness | Soft | | Included Components | 15 half pastels | | Ink Color | Multicolor | | Item Dimensions | 1.1 x 7.36 x 5.31 inches | | Item Weight | 220 g | | Line Size | 0.3mm | | Manufacturer | Royal Talens | | Material | Color Products | | Material Type | Color Products | | Model Number | 31823108 | | Style | Box | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Writing Instrument Form | Pastel Stick | | Writing Technique | Dry Media | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Brand:** Rembrandt - **Color:** Multicolor - **Ink Color:** Multicolor - **Writing Instrument Form:** Pastel Stick ## Images ![Soft Pastels, Half Stick, 15 Piece General Set - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71eaUwEjcAL.jpg) ![Soft Pastels, Half Stick, 15 Piece General Set - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51OdS0m0BkL.jpg) ![Soft Pastels, Half Stick, 15 Piece General Set - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91tD1ORHDWL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Happy with this purchase *by N***Y on July 15, 2026* These pastels are nice quality.
