Buy the size you usually wear and this is why: I'm a true 8.5 and have been wearing this same size for decades. I ordered the black in an 8.5 and they were a little big so my husband suggested I wear a pair of his boot socks with them since they were boots. I usually wear a medium standard weight cotton sock with my daily-wear ankle boots. I tried the 8.5 on with his Georgia boot socks and they fit better but the heel was still a little sloppy so I put on another pair of boot socks - toes were a little tight and the heel had no slop. So then I thought, since I now have two pair of heavy socks on with these boots, I'll try a size 8 (with plans to return one of them). The size 8 arrived and I unpacked one of them for one foot and put the 8.5 on the other. The toes were a little tight with the 8 and there was only a little slop in the heal. So again I tried them both on with boot socks and kept them on for about 20 minutes. At first I thought the 8 would work and the boot might stretch a little, but after wearing that 8 for awhile, I realized I just couldn't live with squished toes. I settled on the 8.5 and will wear them with ONE set of boot socks. There is still a little slop in the heal that I can live with. I love these boots - they are worth it. Another note. I found the pricing interesting - when I purchased the 8.5, it was one of the cheaper priced of all the sizes (all sizes are not priced the same) - then when I ordered the size 8, it was the cheaper price and the 8.5 had gone up in price - lucky for me I guess.. If you find a great price in your size boot, don't wait to buy it. The boot is suede leather and very will made. The buckles are cute and look functional but they don't really buckle anything. The fringe is not simple fringe - some of the fringe pieces have a brass piece attached to the bottom - it gives the fringe some weight and adds to the cuteness of the boots. The boots are very comfortable to wear. They won't be a daily wear for me but I have some rodeos coming up.... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful boots. *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2017* I love these boots. That being said there are a few things that might help the buyer when purchasing these boots. First they are not quite the color you see in the picture. They are not a true beige. It has more grey in it so it is hard to match up with anything beige you might have to where with it. Second, the fringe makes a lot of noise when you walk because there is a lot of it. Third, the heel is slick. A soft rubber sole would have been better because they are very slippery on a tile floor. I fixed that by replacing the heel cap. All in all I would buy another pair and probably will. They make a statement and are well built. The packaging was superb making sure that the fringe did not get crinked up. They are an absolutely beautiful pair of boots. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice boot; can't get right size *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2016* Beautiful boot; gorgeous rich brown (8.5 ordered) just a bit too large for my regular shoe size (8 or 8 1/2) Have been advised to order 1/2 size smaller in boots, but have found that ordering down does not always work with boots. Maybe it would have with this boot as I also ordered the black in size 8 and it, too, seemed a little large. Fringe is beautiful, long, and lays beautifully against the boot.
