    Solid backpack

I went through several bags and returned them for various reasons. This backpack is solid and holds everything I need.

    Great pack!

*by J***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 18, 2016*

I had been on the fence with this backpack for a long time, and finally pulled the trigger. I do an equal amount of boat fishing, and walking to my fishing spots, so a backpack fit the bill. There's tons of great features, and some issues I'd like to address.1) Nice construction. Everything works perfectly. The materials seem sturdy. However it is single-stitched. For what the bag is designed to carry, it should really be double-stitched.2) Great aesthetics. You can't deny it. It's a good looking pack compared to others on the market.3) It's comfortable. You can carry this thing for a while without it bothering you. It could use more lumbar support, but it's currently very adequate.4) Just the right amount of room. I'm currently using four Plano 3600s and two Plano 3500s for hard tackle. I also have ~10 packages of brush hog's, an extra spool of line, weight scale, sunglasses (the sunglass pouch is a great added feature!), and the included portable charger and accessories. Outside I have pliers in the included holster, line nippers, and a flashlight mounted opposite of the pliers holster. The best part? I still have room in the main compartment for drinks and snacks, room in the charger pouch, and a completely unused side pocket for any extras I may take (If you have a CCW license, note that a S&W Shield fits perfectly in this pocket, along with a few extra mags). There's also a nice clear, waterproof pocket in the main compartment flap. I store an extra copy of my fishing license in there. Now, addressing a few issues I've seen mentioned.1) "It falls over a lot"- No. I've yet to experience this. The XP has an extra foot on the bottom. They're quite sturdy. If you balance the payload inside, you should have no issue with it falling over.2) "There's no charging adapter for the battery"- Yes and no. If you get the solar panel, that may be your main means of charging the battery. However, in the supplied accessory packet, there is a plug that fits the battery along with the supplied cable. I simply plug that cable into my iPhone wall charger or PC USB port to charge it.3) "The light doesn't work"-Unconfirmed. Mine still works, no melting. Time will answer this one. I'll update the review if the battery compartment melts.Overall, it's a great bag. The only thing that I wish were better is the stitching. I definitely do not regret this purchase.**EDIT** Update after 4 years. This thing still rocks! Looks like it did the day I bought it, and I assure you that it gets used A LOT. This backpack was definitely a great investment.

It's ok. Not ideal for me. But I've made due.

*by K***3 on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 23, 2015*

Update! That review may been a little long lol. So.. It's been a while, I see the price came down! That's about right. I still rate it a 3star after putting it threw a lot of use, it's just to damn top heavy it likes to roll over to much destroying the solar screen!!!! U will have to seat belt it down or hook it off somewhere when it's not on your back other wise your going to kill the solar screen! And also the top zipper is a bitch getting in and out every time I'd ask someone to hand me something out of the top there there 20mins trying to fight the zipper open and closed. Other then that I've made due with a full pack out at 26lbs!!! LolI'm just not that impressed. Don't get me wrong it's a ok backpack but not really ideal for how most like to setup there bags for fishing. That's the short story. Lol now I'll point out all its short comings. Which is y I rated it a 3 star. You should be sitting on the toilet for this because it's going to take a while lol. First, the bags too easy to roll over, maybe the way I pack it I highly doubt it tho. Sec the bag lacks the space for all my round shaped can sprays like bug spray, sun screen, jar power baits, color dyes for soft plastics, reel oils, think u get my point. The top is about the only place it fits in , but do u really want the scents leaching into the lures below? Or your soft plastics? If u had a leak or spill that wouldn't be good for anything u have on bottem or top. So! I went out and bought all new sprays, and all the other stuff listed above, in a oval squirt shape bottles and in smaller sizes to fit the small side pockets, and it has to be small bottles the tall bottles of sprays or will not fit right and the zippers won't close. All of this alone doesn't really make this a bad backpack. Nor am I said it's a bad back pack, just not ideal for how I like to setup for fishing. But, I'm not done yet. Maybe your thinking about using this bag for a fishing back pack like most people will do and for the price your going to wanna take it on all fishing trips like saltwater fishing trips !? Think again the salt spray from either being on a boat or just a windy day just seems to find its way in, and the LED light isn't going to last long and the battery will corrode and fail after a while. Same goes for the 5,000mah battery. Maybe common sense tells u this a no brainer? Maybe not. Moving on... The cool factor is the solar panel that's 23watts?? Nope try 2.3watts it will take 2 too 3 days to charge the battery pack that's If your in good sun that is. Battery pack charger it is not!!! It's a battery maintainer you would be dead of old age if your wanting to use this panel to charge the battery pack. 40$ Bucks for a 2.3watt solar panel?? U can get a 15+ watt panel for under 50$ buck! And it's not that comfortable to carry on your back all day. But again maybe it's just all in how u pack it, and how much u carry in it. Again it's not a bad bag just not really worth the price tag I think for the cool factors that your going to upgrade! If u plan to keep this bag for charging your toys. A larger 13,000mah battery pack or larger would have been a lot better, and prob a larger solar panel. If I had to buy it all over again I wouldn't. I'd just get something else with more room and space. You can always add all the cool factor stuff to another bag if that's what your after.Ps. If u buy just the bag without the trays , and solar panel, it's cheaper and most all lure trays fit in this bag chances are your trays will fit. Mine did. Plus the tray are not much to be desired there lay outs are not to my likings they lack in space for larger lures at the bottom. And If your looking for anything in my review that addresses the Quality Of the bag it's not the best but not the worst! Stitching is holding up, zips are ok it's hard to zip around the gear on the outside due to there placement, and like I said before it rolls over easy I feel it's due to its framing, the bottem base could be larger that would really help with it being tipsy. And would have given us room for our can sprays. Oh and I didn't like that they didn't make a hole threw the bag to route the solar panel power wire it just runs threw the zips in the door. And there's no hole routed for the wire to charge your phone also so your phone willn't rest inside the pocket the wire holds the phone halfway out of the pocket. Think I can fix that tho. Also the rain fly only covers the front of the bag not the back!. guess its better then nothing . And in closing would have been nice if they would have added some small bottomless velcro latching outside pockets for pocket knifes, leatherman, tools stuff u don't wanna have to dig in the zipper pockets for. But they didn't add a one not on the inside nor out. Oh well.. I've learn to make due with it.
