After going to the chiropractor for months and months to very little avail, I was losing hope in how to address the injury and fix my atrophy and strengthen my core while being unable to work due to the pain and discomfort. I am only 31 years old... After starting Physical Therapy and realizing that low-impact exercise is the key to recovery (in my situation, and many others), I decided to do research on at-home under desk cycles and ellipticals. It was a close call between this, the Desk Cycle 2, and the multiple versions of the Cubii. The Cubii seemed to have too much fitness tracking and tech addons that made the price unjustifiable/unnecessary to me. I also noticed through days and days of comparisons and reviews that Desk Cycle Ellipse was coming out above the competitors on range of motion, resistance settings, noise, and foot placement (different foot placement works different muscles vs the Cubii working only one set). So far, the Ellipse has made a HUGE difference in my physical recovery. When I am not at PT or doing my exercises at home, I am using the Ellipse any chance I can get. It really helps my morning aches and stiffness when using it first thing in the morning while checking email/drinking coffee. It really is about as silent as it gets without being invisible and/or defying physics. the rotation is very smooth, the 'clicking' people mention is attributed to a lack of lubricant on the wheels/base, not the bearings or flywheel. I was concerned when I got the clicking noise, but after trial and error, realized that a little lubricant of any kind and making sure no cat hairs were on the wheel 'track' was the fix for me. I would like the option to strap my feet on like the Cubii, as I notice my feet sliding around on higher resistances without running shoes on, but this is an easy and cheap velcro fix vs paying more for the Cubii. Super easy to move and store, and the display screen it comes with is an awesome addition and works well with the Desk Cycle fitness tracker. Zero sliding on carpet, I'd assume wood or tile is even more sturdy but I have zero complaints there too. Highly recommended - zero regrets, and the best investment hands down for my physical recovery I've taken in 3 years of exhausting other avenues! Review: Excellent customer service; product easy to assemble and get started - I waited a whole year before writing this review to be sure I'm still satisfied with it - and I am. My first machine did develop weird rattling noises after 6 months but I contacted customer service and they were quick to get my concerns resolved with a replacement. The new replacement is working great (and quietly); hoping it stays this quiet for years to come. But even if it develops issues again I'd still give this product 5 stars for the customer support and for the product design. Many other models I saw while shopping for a desk elliptical seemed to be made of cheaper material, and were also taller - I was concerned the taller height would have made my knees bump against the bottom of my desk. The DeskCycle had the lowest height from the ground, and you can tell from handling the product that the materials are quality and the product is well made. I have no idea what was creating noises on my first purchase, but many others who had similar issues got a replacement from customer service and seem to have been happy with the new one. Props to the customer service team, they really deserve every rave review here for getting my concerns addressed and resolved quickly and with little effort on my part. If you're looking for a way to get some extra movement into your work day while at your desk, this was a very easy to install and unobtrusive product. It only takes up the space underneath my desk, nobody can tell I'm pedaling while I'm on a meeting, and when I hit 10,000 steps a day on the elliptical I can really tell my muscles have gotten some burn. Will it replace a HIIT cardio-intense crossfit workout routine? No, but it's better than nothing, doesn't require a lot of space to get started, and I can burn a couple hundred calories over the course of the day that I wouldn't have burnt without this. It's also a great outlet if you tend to fidget and need movement to help you stay focused. Note: I work from home, so I have no idea how people use this if they were doing a regular 9-5 at an office. For sure it'd be heavy to haul in and out everyday; I guess you'd want to get a lock and chain for it to leave at your desk. ## Features - Multi-Task: Our premium quality under desk bike pedal exerciser can help you burn calories, boost your energy level, increase productivity and reduce stress as you work - Magnetic Resistance: This compact elliptical exercise machine has ultra-smooth magnetic resistance, a superior flywheel and a sturdy base. It's whisper quiet, so you'll never bother those around you - Easy to Use: Large 6-Function LCD display tracks revolutions, RPM, time, calories burned and more. For easy reading, remove the display from under the desk and set it up on your table with the included display stand - Build Up Strength: Choose from 8 different resistance levels, from very easy to really hard! This seated elliptical machine is the perfect leg exercise bike for seniors, physical therapy, or anyone who wants to get more active - Switch It Up: Extra long and wide pedals allow you to adjust the shape of your elliptical motion by where you place your feet; place them on top of the pedal to maximize up/down movement, or towards the bottom for more horizontal strides ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07MBQ19Z2 | | Best Sellers Rank | #68,887 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #60 in Elliptical Training Machines | | Brand | DeskCycle | | Brand Name | DeskCycle | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,200 Reviews | | Display Size | 2.2 inches | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 23"D x 18"W x 10"H | | Item Highlight | Holds up to 40 lbs, Magnetic Resistance Foot Pedaler, Ultra-Smooth & Silent Seated Leg Exerciser, Heavy Duty Steel Frame | | Item Weight | 13.68 kg | | Manufacturer | 3D Innovations | | Manufacturer Part Number | Ellipse | | Material | Steel and High-Impact Plastic | | Material Type | Steel and High-Impact Plastic | | Maximum Stride Length | 18 inches | | Maximum Weight Recommendation | 30 pounds | | Model Name | Ellipse | | Model Number | DSK-SPO-ELLIPSE-BK | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Resistance Levels | 8 | | Product Dimensions | 23"D x 18"W x 10"H | | Resistance Mechanism | Magnetic | | UPC | 856879005017 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** DeskCycle - **Color:** Black - **Material:** Steel and High-Impact Plastic - **Model Name:** Ellipse - **Product Dimensions:** 23"D x 18"W x 10"H ## Images ![DeskCycle Under Desk Elliptical Machine up to 40 lbs Magnetic Resistance Foot Pedaler, Ultra-Smooth & Silent Seated Leg Exerciser, Heavy Duty Non-Sliding Steel Frame - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81TMCfk+LsL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is the desk height recomendation (description says only about deskcycle)?** A: Because of the way the pedals are, you can place your feet higher or lower on them and that lowers your knees (or you can slide it back further). I have fairly long legs and normal desk height was fine for me, in any position. **Q: Just wondering how this compares to the Cubii any pros or cons?** A: DeskCycle Ellipse vs Cubii Jr. Both are the same price, $249 The DeskCycle Ellipse is a new product by 3D Innovations, LLC. It's internal mechanism is the same as the other DeskCycles which have a 4.6 star rating with over 2000 reviews. The pedal motion is noticeably smoother on the DeskCycle Ellipse because the effective flywheel weight (40 lbs) is higher. The DeskCycle Ellipse has a wider resistance range. There is considerably more resistance on the higher settings. DeskCycle display window is larger and displays more functions. It also keeps track of up more than 10 times the time and distance of the Cubii. The DeskCycle Ellipse comes with a display stand which lets you place the display on your desktop if you choose. The DeskCycle Ellipse pedals are lower and more forward than the Cubii, which makes it work better with shorter and shallow desks. The DeskCycle pedals are over 17 inches long. This lets you control the type of pedal motion by where you place your feet. The DeskCycle has more precision sealed bearings, including 4 sealed bearings on the pedal shafts. No other desk elliptical has sealed bearings on their pedal shafts. Sealed bearings make pedal motion smoother and more quiet. The DeskCycle includes free web-based activity tracking software. An iPhone App will be available in March. An external Bluetooth interface will be available in the Spring. It will work with all previous and existing DeskCycles. The Cubii is made in China. The DeskCycle is made in Taiwan. **Q: Do the pedals move without force being applied to them?** A: On the lowest setting, they pretty much move with no effort at all, so I would have to say yes they move without force being applied to them **Q: The web-based calculator asks for distance in order to do the calculations, but the Ellipse doesn’t show distance on the display. Ideas?** A: We simply sit at our desk with our chair and pedal the unit. We have not used any distance measures. Not sure where and why this is referenced. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent for Physical Therapy at home!!! *by J***H on February 17, 2022* I have had chronic pain in my SI joint, right hip, and right leg for nearly three years due to a work injury. I have a treadmill and indoor bicycle but wanted something portable that I can move from room to room and even take outside in the summer. This unit is very well made and simple to use. It's built like a tank and weighs in at a little under 30 pounds. Whisper quiet with 8 resistance levels it has a handle for transporting and bungee straps to secure the pedals. What I really like is that it uses no household electricity, only 2 AA batteries to power the readout display. Resistance comes from a magnetic flywheel for smooth and quiet operation. I recommend it highly. It's over 200 bucks. but well worth it. There is a lot of junk out there for under 100 dollars that weigh in at 10 pounds that'll fall apart not long after you get it. Go for it! ## Frequently Bought Together - DeskCycle Ellipse Leg Exerciser - Under Desk Elliptical Machine and Foot Pedal Exerciser - Leg Exerciser While Sitting - Compact Under Desk Exercise Equipment - Cubii Non-Slip Workout Mat for Under Desk Ellipticals - DeskCycle Under Desk Bike Pedal Exerciser - Stationary Bikes for Home & Office - Standard and Adjustable Height Versions --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kg/products/100522003-deskcycle-under-desk-elliptical-machine-up-to-40-lbs-magnetic](https://www.desertcart.kg/products/100522003-deskcycle-under-desk-elliptical-machine-up-to-40-lbs-magnetic) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kyrgyzstan* *Store origin: KG* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
