Exactly what you would expect, good quality for a high price.  Let's hope this one stays in, might have some blue loctite in its future.

    Fits an old Gitzo G201 Reporter

My old Gitzo G201 Series 2 Reporter needs a counterweight for stability during video pans. So I bought the Gitzo G2020 Hook and it fit like a glove, threading into the 3/8" socket on the bottom of the center staff. The hook is spring loaded and retracts when not used. I hung a wine bag filled with rocks off the hook and my old G201 was as steady as it gets.However, I was a little underwhelmed with the build quality of the G2020: lightweight plastic housing, plastic threads and a very modest metal hook. I was expecting metal housing and a more beefy hook so I’ll report back if the hook goes south. In hindsight, I could have saved a few bucks and rigged up a 3/8” stud with D-ring or hook. Nevertheless the G2020 Hook fits and functions perfectly but is a bit light duty for my taste.
