The old mounting screw holes will need to be filled and painted, or, you can design your own pick guard to fill in that space. Hope this helps. **Q: Listing says "hardware included." My set-up luthier put the bridge on a Strat knock-off solid body which did not have through-body string access-holes to match the bridge-he drillled the holes for the 6 through-body strings and added the ferrules ($1.00 each ). Hope this helps. My guitar is a Fender villager neck on the Strat body and the bridge was perfect. Good luck. Unless ferrules are specifically mentioned, they usually don’t come with bridges but are inexpensive and easy to get. **Q: Have a strat-style body with old tremolo bridge. can i just use that hole for the through-body strings?** A: This hard tail bridge is attached to the body by five screws. In a tremolo style body the three rear screws would located just off the border of the tremolo hole. We'll made, looks good, easy to install. My only gripe is the holes for the string-through-body strings are drilled staggered, so either you'll have to install your ferrules staggered to match, or play a bit of a fishing game every time you restring.
